A phone call reporting a potential active shooter threat prompted the Columbus Zoo to evacuate all guests and staff Tuesday morning and close for the rest of the day. The zoo received the report at the zoo’s call center. Zoo leadership, working in coordination with the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office, decided to evacuate “out of an abundance of caution.” The zoo said the decision also came “in light of similar threats reported at several zoos across the country in recent days, and a recent safety threat at the Zoo on Saturday, May 2, 2026.” https://lnkd.in/gZ7iwx3Q
