This week, the Cultural Safeguard Alliance (CSA) had the opportunity to spend time with teams across some of Toronto’s most iconic cultural properties: the Royal Ontario Museum, the CN Tower, and Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada. Each visit reinforced something we hear again and again across the field: protecting cultural spaces is never “one-size-fits-all”—and the best solutions come from practical collaboration and shared experience.
We’re grateful for the conversations, the behind-the-scenes perspective, and the generosity of the professionals who make these places safe, welcoming, and resilient every day in Toronto and beyond. CSA exists to connect this community, elevate what works, and help us respond to emerging risks faster—together.
If you’re a security, safety, or operations professional supporting cultural properties in Toronto, across Canada (or beyond), we’d love to connect and learn from what you’re building.
