Police are investigating after vandals targeted the historical cottage built by Captain James Cook's father and a statue in a Melbourne park. It is believed three offenders spray-painted the 18th century cottage with what police described as "anti-Cook comments" and tried to cut off the head of the statue in Fitzroy Gardens at about 2am on Tuesday. Detectives are examining footage from nearby CCTV cameras to try to identify those involved. https://lnkd.in/gKfSrETb
