What an energizing and memorable experience at ASIS Europe - From Risk to Resilience in Antwerp, Belgium!
Our CSA team was grateful for the opportunity to connect with so many thoughtful, committed professionals dedicated to security, resilience, and the protection of cultural property. Conferences like this remind us how global—and how personal—this work truly is.
It was especially meaningful to reconnect with good friends, including Ricardo Sanz Marcos and Kim Covent, and to spend time with CSA Member Jason Collins EMT. of the Chester Beatty Museum in Dublin. Conversations like these—grounded in shared challenges, lessons learned, and mutual support—are at the heart of the CSA community.
A heartfelt thank you to Ibrahim Bulut for so generously hosting the CSA team during our time in Belgium. We so enjoyed getting to know Antwerp, and loved that the conference venue was right next door to the beautiful Antwerp ZOO —a place with an inspiring legacy as a global leader in Okapi breeding and preservation.
We are also deeply appreciative of ASIS International for a wonderful conference experience, and extend special thanks to the ASIS Cultural Properties Community for their continued advocacy for our field. And a big shout‑out to Jessica Lombardo, ASIS VP of Membership and Vomunteer Engagement, for her ongoing support and connection‑building across the ASIS community.
Thank you to everyone who made this trip so meaningful. We’re returning home inspired, energized, and grateful for the collaborations ahead.
