On July 11, the San Angelo Railway Museum in Texas announced that it would be closed for the day due to vandalism. The Concho Valley Homepage now has updates and the ramifications of the damage from the museum. To many people, this broken window shouldn’t be a big deal, and we should be able to get the estimate and get the repairs done quickly,” Liz Curtis, a volunteer at the museum said. “However, we have to have a specialist give us the quote because the window was constructed using methods in use in 1910 – 115-year-old construction techniques. Since this is a historic building, we can’t just put in new windows like we could if the vandalism occurred in our homes. The repairs need to be done using similar techniques to those used 115 years ago.” https://lnkd.in/gaC7vgBv
