CSA is in Washington DC, and day one was spent - you guessed it - checking out cultural properties!
We couldn’t resist going to the National Archives to see the entirety of the US Constitution and all of its amendments displayed together for the very first time. It was incredibly impactful to see all of our most central governing documents in one room. They also had one of the four surviving original Magna Carta manuscripts, and the US’s first treaty with France. The Archives security team were attentive, kind, and communicative. We appreciated their diligence in protecting these irreplaceable parts of our history.
Then the evening was spent with our good friends at Art Sentry, who treated us to a wonderful boat ride and tour to the Potomac River. The drinks and snacks deeply appreciated, as were the excellent conversations.
Day one was big fun, and we can’t wait for the rest of the week!
