We had a great first day at the Smithsonian Office of Protection Services (OPS)’s National Conference on Cultural Property Protection (NCCPP)! We are exceptionally proud of our members Les Borsay and Brian Collupy and the sessions they presented, as well as our favorite Belgians Ibrahim Bulut and Kim Covent! All of the sessions were wonderful, from Year in Review to learning about the SiLK Network. The Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden was a beautiful venue, and we loved getting to see the Basquiat X Banksy exhibition. After a delicious dinner several of us walked the National Mall and got to take in the breathtaking memorials and monuments at night.
